Agricultural Lawyer

A leading South West Law Firm is seeking to appoint a Solicitor OR Legal Executive to join its Agricultural Department in Sherborne. Working directly with the Head of Department, you will spearhead the business development of the Agricultural Team, promoting growth and developing the business further.

The team advises on a variety of issues affecting the agricultural industry, including land and pesticide use, issues pertaining to seed, water, labour and the environment. You will be responsible for advising on buying and selling rural property, promotion agreements, option agreements, asset management, energy schemes, financing, lending and securities. On a daily basis you can expect to be negotiating contracts, reviewing titles, drafting leases, assisting with boundary issues, and guiding clients on legislation and regulatory compliance.
