Reporting directly to the University Secretary (also a solicitor), the Legal Counsel will play an active role in supporting the work of the wider University Secretary’s Office and representing the area internally and externally as required. The post will be offered on a full-time or part-time basis depending on the breadth of skills that the successful candidate is able to bring to the role; candidates should indicate their preference when applying.

We are looking for a flexible and collaborative problem-solver with sound judgement, excellent communication skills and a strong client service ethos. You will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and expertise in new areas in accordance with the University’s evolving priorities.

Experience of working in an in-house role within higher education is desirable but not essential.
