Job Details

The department is the most highly awarded in the whole of Europe. The success has continued for nearly a decade. A true sign of excellence, you will deal with a truly exciting and varied caseload, working side on side with industry leaders, you will receive a level of exposure to both work and clients which we feel is unrivalled.

The Firm

This Top 100 firm are incredibly entrepreneurial, innovative, and market-leading international practice. They now have a headcount of over 400 Lawyers with offices nationally and internationally. Despite them being based in the City, they are much more similar in culture to that of a West End practice. The practice is top tier across several areas and has recently won several industry awards.

You will find the firm has a truly global reach; they understand that the success of the firm is underpinned by their Lawyers. They have an open-door policy and seat Partners next to junior Lawyers, you will work on quality work from day one, the firm has invested a great deal of time and money to ensure they have a system of allowing Lawyers of all levels to get a level of training that in the industry, it is few and far between. Expect to find a culture which is friendly, supportive, dynamic and encourages agile working. They have an adult and professional culture; without the gripes, you would normally associate with the larger "commercial machine" city firms.

Compared to most other firms, they have an ever-growing number of homegrown Partners, this is a true sign of how they develop, invest and nurture their legal talent.

The Role

The Employment department is a top tier department and is the firms largest and key focus practice area. Going far beyond just legal advice, they also support clients with a range of innovative, value-adding services including consultancy, training and flexible legal resourcing to provide senior lawyers in-house to organisations.

You will deal with a mix of claimant and respondent work; the role will be broad and varied making for a more interesting role but will have a focus towards High Court Litigation cases. You will deal with some of the highest value and complex, landmark cases. Often their cases making both the national and international press.
