An exciting opportunity has arisen to join West Mercia Police as our new Legal Services Manager.

This is a fantastic opportunity, at the forefront of reputation management, offering the right individual excellent experience in leading a legal function within a cutting edge police force. The role delivers legal services to West Mercia Police, working closely with the executive team and Office of Police and Crime Commissioner.

This role will provide the successful legal professional with the ideal opportunity to develop skills and experience within a unique corporate and operational environment, whilst supporting the rebuild and transformation of this great force. West Mercia Police is embarking on a significant change programme, seeking to deliver services in new and innovative ways to protect people from harm.

There will be scope for the post holder to develop and implement departmental strategy, develop the Legal Service and support the continuous development of the team to enhance and establish professional legal services that engage, inform and proactively respond to risks to protect our communities, partners and workforce.

This role provides the opportunity to obtain significant experience in leading and influencing change, building trust and confidence whilst protecting and enhancing the reputation of the force through the delivery of professional and in-house or partnered legal services.
