Residential Conveyancing Solicitor

This is a great opportunity for a Residential Conveyancing Solicitor to join a growing and ambitious business in the East Midlands in a high-level role. This position would really suit someone looking for something different from the 'norm' as the role is quasi in-house.

The Business has several very long-standing clients and there is a huge emphasis on client care. They aim to deliver an extremely high-quality service and so what matters to our client is not the volume of files you can get through but the standard at which you will operate at.

In this role you will be managing its Residential Conveyancing department, with a view to growing it, and so our client requires a very well experienced and ambitious candidate for this opportunity. The work will involve running a mixed caseload of high-quality residential conveyancing matters from start to finish, including the sale and purchase of freehold and leasehold properties that are generally of significant value, new build, transfers of equity, remortgaging and much more. As the team grows, you will have the chance to manage the team and help junior members.

The business needs someone commercially minded who can get involved in strategy and have a real input into the direction of the department. You must have excellent client care skills. Clients get more of a rounded service and you will work closely with the financial planners - often meeting clients together to discuss the whole picture - this allows for a real longevity of client relationships.

Ideally, you will have 7-10 years' experience in handling high quality residential conveyancing matters and will be able to demonstrate your ability to offer outstanding client service. However, this level of experience has been given as an approximate guide for applicants and our client is happy to consider the applications of candidates who fall outside of this level but who have the relevant knowledge/experience, together with the enthusiasm for this particular role.

This is a bit of a different prospect. Candidates will have the support of the other arms of the business with things like marketing and generating new business. They are growing and there is a lot of opportunity for someone joining now to play a vital role in this and be involved at a strategic level.
