The Firm
My client is a Leading Legal 500 Firm with offices across multiple locations. The Firm is recognised as a leader in many areas of litigation, which is the biggest department at the firm.

The firm is a recognised leader in this area, with a commitment to providing excellent client services for a diverse client base, working with both social housing and private rental clients. In addition, the role will also include cases of litigation on defective construction on new build properties for private clients, as well as some commercial property litigation.

The role
You will be employed principally in the area of Housing & Property Disputes on a mixed caseload advising tenants on repair, homelessness and possession issues as well as advising home owners in respect of defective construction issues and advising commercial landlords and tenants in respect of lease disputes. The client base is diverse, and you will work with both social housing and private rental clients, leaseholders, home owners and commercial landlords and tenants.
In addition to representing the users of private and social housing, you will on occasions represent the providers. You may be required, because of the developing nature of a solicitor's business to undertake different or additional aspects of work at various times.
You will be working as part of a team with Partners, fee-earners, trainees and support staff as and when appropriate. It is important therefore to be capable of delegating tasks and supervising where appropriate.
Part of the role will involve business development and supporting marketing initiatives in line with our business plan.
