Job Details

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Contentious Probate Solicitor to join a long-standing, independent practice in Nottingham. Having been established for over 200 years in the region the firm has an excellent reputation amongst its clients.

Our client is looking for someone to join the dispute resolution team with a particular focus on growing the contentious probate practice and play a key role in the ongoing and future success of the team and the firm.

The role will involve working closely with the private client team to form strong relationships with and gain new business from beneficiaries, executors and trustees, as well as wider work generation. You will be responsible for running your own varied caseload of contentious trust and probate work including inheritance act and high value trust claims, will disputes and proprietary estoppel claims.

As well as taking part in business development activities to expand the practice and bring in new work you will also need to maintain and build on relationships with existing clients and referrers of work. It is therefore essential that you have strong client care skills with the ability to exceed client expectations and a pro-active approach.

Our client envisages that the successful candidate will have at least 4 years' PQE with contentious probate experience, however this level is purely given as a guideline and those who fall outside of this are still encouraged to apply. ACTAPS and/or STEP qualification would be desirable but not essential.

The ideal candidate should have strong academics, excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail. You should also be an enthusiastic team player with initiative and the ability to solve problems effectively.

If you're ambitious, hard-working and want to join a firm where you can make a difference this could be the role for you.

How to Apply:

If you would like to apply for this role then please contact Andrew Purdy or another member of the Private Practice team at Sacco Mann. Alternatively, if this role is not for you but you know someone who could be interested, then please contact them or us as we offer a reward for successful placements.
