Commercial Contracts Lawyer

Our client, a local authority based in Central London is seeking a Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer for three months initially.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a key part of the legal team supporting all authority legal work relating to a specific project. You will provide advice on procurement issues and construction contracts.

The successful Commercial Contracts Lawyer  can expect to deliver on the following:

• Provide advice to members of the project team for the procurement and delivery of the projects construction contracts.
• To ensure the project proceeds within the agreed legal framework.
• To advise on legal issues arising from the management of construction contracts.
• To draft legal documents including contracts, agreements and procedures.
• Support the Head of Legal and Governance in the preparation of legal documents or evidence for court cases.

This role will report directly in to the Head of Legal and Governance and will involve direct contact with senior internal and external shareholders.

Due to the urgent nature of the role, our client is looking for someone available to start on no more than two weeks’ notice. In order to be considered for this position you must be a qualified barrister or solicitor or legal executive with a current practising certificate.
