We are looking to attract a solicitor to join our catastrophic injury team in our Glasgow office.

Our catastrophic injury practice group is one of the largest in the market, delivering the right outcomes on the highest value and most challenging personal injury claims. We specialise in catastrophic injury work arising from motor and casualty insurance products and clinical negligence work.

The caseload for this position will cover a mixture of serious injury and complex catastrophic injury claims such as brain injuries, amputations and orthopaedic injuries.  Day to day duties will include obtaining precognitions, instructing experts, attending pre-trial meetings, proofs and other court hearings. It will also involve managing a caseload of EL/PL and RTA claims. Handling these complex claims requires a combination of technical expertise, sound judgement and project management skills in order to deliver the best commercial outcome for our clients.

We are keen to hear from candidates with previous experience of handling personal injury cases, ideally with exposure to complex catastrophic injury claims. We are looking for candidates who have the ability to analyse, evaluate and communicate information logically, together with proficient IT skills.

In return, we offer a nurturing and collaborative environment alongside a competitive salary. Our company benefits include 25 days holiday allowance,  the option to purchase further holidays, an additional day off for your birthday, pension scheme, health cash plan, life assurance and income protection. We also offer a number of discounts to use for gym membership, car leasing, mobile phones and insurance products.
