The Role

The firm are looking for a Competition Solicitor with 3+ years PQE (no upper limit to PQE) to join their outstanding practice in Bristol, Somerset.

The role will involve the following duties:

• Providing clients with insightful and commercial competition law advice.
• Experience of delivering this advice alongside general commercial legal advice would be an advantage, as would industry/advisory experience within the financial services (incl. fintech), automotive, retail/FMCG, energy and telecomms/media industry.
• Managing complex competition matters including investigations, behavioural advice and merger notifications, as well as leading on discrete projects.

They are looking to recruit an experienced Competition Solicitor in Bristol to complement their existing, highly reputable team.

The role will give you incredibly good exposure to the work you want to do, giving you a platform to really grow your practice and evolve.

The ideal candidate:

• You will be a Competition / EU Solicitor with 3+ years PQE
• You will be based in their Bristol, Somerset office.

• Good knowledge of/experience in all competition law matters (investigations, competition litigation, merger control, state aid etc.).
• Familiarity with/Ability to advise on general commercial work ideally, i.e. commercial contracts, distribution arrangements, franchising, etc.
• Evidenced experience of advising clients/working in one or more of the firm's core sectors, i.e. retail & consumer goods; financial services; energy & renewables; technology, media and telecoms; leisure; public sector; or housing.
