Hugely ambitious, growing market leading plc with integral In-house legal department, requires a qualified solicitor to compliment their team based in North Yorkshire.
The group consists of a number of diverse brands and financial services networks and as such the workload is as varied as you would expect with a broad range of legal matters supporting the strategic initiatives and operational objectives of the group.
Reporting into the Head of Legal who in turn reports into the Board, your main responsibilities will include a core workload of non-contentious commercial activities such as; advising on customer terms (business to consumer and business to business), advising and negotiating supplier contracts (including IT service provision), supporting relationships with regulators (excluding financial services), supporting the management of the groups IP portfolio, advising on/supporting the implementation of new legislative requirements and undertaking due diligence in relation to acquisitions.
We would imagine this suiting a lawyer from either a commercial or corporate background with client facing skills and a pragmatic approach to problem solving. Its possible you are In-house already and looking to take a step up or equally in Practice and curious about making the transition.
Either way there is the infrastructure in place and enough ambition of the business to ensure you would gain credible and transferable skills for this next phase in your career.
