Job Details

A successful family feel firm has a brand new opening for a RTA Litigator to join their growing team based in Stockport.

You will deal with high quality RTA litigated files.

Salary is up to £35,000

RTA Litigator/Fee Earner

Main duties/Skills & Experience required

  • Drafting Court proceedings
  • Drafting various relevant court documents
  • Preparing witness statements
  • Complying with court directions
  • Dealing with applications and court hearings
  • To demonstrate a strong understanding of the technical issues involved in pursuing litigated fast track and multi-track claims
  • Manage a caseload of Claimant RTA files from inception to settlement
  • Have working knowledge of the RTA claims process and MOJ portal stages 1, 2 and 3
  • Liaising with client, third parties and solicitors, keeping clients up to date with the progression of their cases, reviewing medical reports, engineers reports, police reports and dealing with correspondence
  • To have a good working knowledge of road traffic accidents and relevant case law
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness and a proactive approach to all aspects of work
  • Demonstrate strong decision-making skills
  • Demonstrate strong negotiation skills.
  • Be able to achieve individual financial targets on a monthly and basis and to contribute to the profitability of the team as a whole
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills including client awareness and client care
  • Demonstrate an ability to manage risk and excellent fact finding skills
  • Demonstrate excellent telephone manner and customer service skills
  • Good organisational & interpersonal skills
  • Have a good knowledge of the Office Suite (Word, Excel,Outlook)
  • Proficient in use of Proclaim case management system
