Residential Conveyancing Solicitor

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor to join a vibrant and successful law firm but head up a team for them in their expanding Leeds office.

Our client is an award-winning Yorkshire law firm with numerous offices across the region, they have an excellent reputation, are a friendly place to work and really encourage self-starters. They have developed an outstanding reputation both for the work that they do and the investments they make in their staff members. They are thriving and have experienced continuous growth and feel that this would be a key area for them to develop further in.

They have a a busy and successful team across the region but this role is to develop that further by establishing a presence for the team in Leeds. They cover the whole range of work across the team from sale and purchase, freehold, leasehold, remortgage, new build and more complex matters such as shared ownership and therefore have the resource, systems and capacity to handle any work that you can develop. The team have a good reputation and are well connected to local referrers and get lots of repeat business through the door which should help in creating this new team. Furthermore as the work grows you will obviously be supported in recruiting to grow the Leeds team but in the meantime there will be willing support from their other offices. There really is lots of opportunity to progress and develop your career with this role.

The firm is really looking for someone who can come in and hit the ground running but someone who can also go out, network and bring work in. Ideally the successful candidate will have a small following and will have the ability to build on this.

For this role, it is essential that you have considerable experience in Residential Conveyancing and foresee a long-term career within this area. Ideally candidates will have a few years experience under their belt and contacts within the local area.
Excellent communication skills are a necessity for this role with the ability to liaise confidently with clients. They are particularly looking for team players who can demonstrate high levels of initiative.
