This is a great opportunity for a commercial lawyer to be part of an active and engaged team and would be particularly good if you are looking for your first in-house move. As part of a large UK and wider global legal team, you can expect all the support and training you would anticipate from a market leading business.

Your new role
Working alongside the Senior Legal Counsel within the commercial legal services team, you will provide pragmatic advice and support to the company's group functions, supporting tender processes in different areas of the business, with an emphasis on IT and capital equipment projects.

You will enjoy a broad commercial role, with a particular focus on technology law, and will be expected to build relationships within the procurement, IT and finance departments. You will also deliver internal training and manage contract disputes.

What you need to succeed
You will have a minimum of a year's post qualification experience in a comparable commercial role, and an ability to apply that knowledge in a practical and pragmatic way. Experience of an in-house secondment during your training contract would be desirable but not essential. You will be proficient in drafting contracts, with solid experience of contract negotiation.

An appetite to learn new skills and the versatility and technical ability to deal with issues outside of your experience and learn quickly on the job is desirable; you will also possess the confidence and gravitas to challenge decisions and actions when required.
