The Role and Responsibilities

The Group Legal Team is seeking a Paralegal to manage the day to day operations of the department. The position has arisen due to the company’s exceptional growth over recent years and has been devised to support the Head of Legal and provide legal support to the UK and Rest of the World businesses. Key responsibilities include:

Working closely with the business’s Global Group departments, the role offers the successful paralegal the responsibility of managing the business’s insurance matters and tracking costs.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Respond to queries raised by insurers
  • Distribute confirmation of insurance policy renewals letters
  • Manage and instruct insurance brokers
  • Identify risks to the business
  • Manage Landlord and Tenant issues
  • Manage Property and Liability Claims
  • Manage ongoing claims
  • General insurance enquiries including group business travel, motor fleet, insurance for new equipment
  • Attend monthly Health and Safety meetings
  • Coordination legal invoice and expense management
  • Updating online filing systems

A role that encompasses managing the insurance process, as well as administrative tasks, this is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated paralegal who would like to / enjoys working within the retail and property industry.

You

The role is ideally suited for a commercially astute paralegal with prior experience  working within a Corporate environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential as well as a good ability to manage competing deadline. You will have excellent organisational skills, IT skills, ability to prioritise competing tasks and work under pressure.

A confident communicator with the ability to quickly build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the business, you will be excited to look after the insurance interests of this fast-paced organisation with customers firmly placed at its core. Robust technical and organisational skills are a must, and previous knowledge of Real Estate or Property Leasing would be hugely beneficial, but not essential.
