Information Governance Officer

LAW Absolute are currently recruiting to an Information Governance Officer vacancy for a busy local authority based in Berkshire.

This role is available initially for 3 months with possible extension. Although this is a full time position, flexible working/working from home requirements are accommodated if required.

Duties of the role will include:

• Investigating and reporting data breaches including notifications to the ICO, monitoring the email inbox and logging breaches,
• Drafting reports,
• Advising in relation to, FOIs, EIRs, Internal Reviews, Subject Access Requests and individual rights under the GDPR,
• Handling ICO Complaints,
• A good knowledge of the GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 and be able to advise on and draft Information sharing agreements and data protection impact assessments.  

Candidates do not need to be a Qualified Lawyer, but you must be competent and have experience in Data Protection Law and Information Governance experience.
