The firm have established offices across the UK as well as an international reach with a firmly established and much respected Employment team lead boasting and array of highly experienced and respected Partners. With over twenty qualified lawyers providing advice across a broad variety of Employers ranging from household commercial names, the public sector, charitable organisations and privately owned firms. The team continues to grow further and they now seek a talented Employment solicitor to join their ranks in the Reading office.

The team deal with both contentious and non contentious matters and are able to offer the services of some highly experienced litigators who frequently represent organisations at employment tribunals and in court. In addition they provide specialist employment law advice in resolving conflict through alternative dispute resolution. A full suite of professional employment services are on offer to ensure optimum management of human resources including ongoing support through in-house training, seminars, workshops, newsletters and e-bulletins.

Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • managing employment tribunal cases;

  • conducting advocacy at employment tribunal hearings;

  • providing day-to-day employment law advice to clients;

  • drafting and reviewing contracts and other employment related documentation;

  • assisting other teams with employment law issues, including corporate support;

  • providing training to clients; and

  • attending networking and marketing events.

In order to excel in this role the team are looking for an individual of ideally 2yrs+ PQE acquired either from within a respected private practice or in-house employment team. You should be able to display an excellent grasp of employment law, a pragmatic approach with a commercial mindset to development further opportunities to advance the success of the team. Naturally you will be a confident and excellent communicator who is keen to engage with clientele and provide a highly level of service and deliver practical solutions and advice.
