Co/commercial Lawyer

A newly or recently qualified Corporate/Commercial Lawyer is sought by a long established Essex Law firm that has grown substantially over recent years. Several high profile hires, fantastic modern offices and a culture and ethos second to none, has seen this firm recognised as one of this region’s leading names.

The Commercial team provides a broad spectrum of legal advice and guidance to local, national and international clients

The successful candidate will most likely have between 1 and 3 years PQE, but newly qualified lawyers with relevant previous experience in the field will also be considered.

• Manage the work efficiently and expeditiously
• Manage and maintain positive client relationships
• Promote the department and the firm through networking and business development  activities
• Undertake a mixed workload of  corporate and commercial work including:

  Acquisitions and disposals

• Reorganisations including demergers, section 110 reorganisations and capital reductions
• Corporate finance, MBO’s and MBI’s
• Corporate restructuring, share issues and share option agreements
• Joint ventures
• Financing and re-financing
• Cross-border work
• Compliance issues
• Insolvency
• Supply and maintenance contracts
• Terms of sale and purchase
• Intellectual property and data protection issues
• Agency and distribution agreements 
• Partnerships, including professional partnerships, corporate partnerships  and joint ventures
• As a qualified Lawyer; you will have prior experience of handling commercial work, and will possess exceptional negotiation and communication skills backed by excellent technical knowledge.
