Your new company
Due to an increased workload, we are now looking to recruit a Locum Adult Social Care Solicitor to work in the heart of the city centre for a minimum of 3 months, with the possibility of being extended further. Your new role
As an experienced Adult Social Care Solicitor / Legal Executive, you will be required to process Mental Capacity Act 2005 applications before the Court of Protection including applications under s.21A. You will also be required to oversee judicial reviews and ordinary residence disputes including referral to the Secretary of State for various issues including forced marriage applications, asylum and care and support issues. Advocacy work will be required as part of the position.
What you'll need to succeed
As an experienced Solicitor / Legal Executive, you will have in-depth knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the Mental Health Act 1983. You will also have had experience or working with people with no resource to public funds, complaints to the Ombudsman and Social Services.
