An opportunity at a leading UK and international law firm has come on to the market due to growth of the team. The firm have established offices across the UK as well as an international reach with a firmly established and much respected Employment team boasting an array of highly experienced and respected Partners. The team continues to grow further and they now seek a talented NQ Employment Solicitor (equiv FCILEx are also welcome) to join their ranks in the Reading office.

The role will entail handling primarily contentious cases although from time to time there may be a requirement to deal with some non-contentious matters. Acting on behalf of one of the firms' longstanding clients, you will handle your own caseload of claimant employment matters which will comprise dealing with issues such as discrimination, unfair dismissal and protected disclosure as well as dealing with TUPE and compromise agreements. As well as this, you will provide support and assistance to senior members of the team on higher value and more complex matters such as group actions or test cases.

This role is ideal for an NQ who has undertaken at least a seat within employment (and who ideally will have gained pre-qualification experience as an employment paralegal) or an experienced qualified Legal Executive, or someone who is working towards attaining the CILEx qualification. Whilst the firm has a preference for those with claimant experience, they are open to speaking with those who have dealt with respondent work or handled a mixed caseload.

On offer is an excellent salary and benefits package which includes a generous holiday allowance with a modern approach to flexible working. The firm is very keen on progressing its lawyers internally and so you will benefit from a dedicated progression plan allowing you to grow professionally an become established as a respected employment lawyer in your own right.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a very strong Employment Team at a central Reading location with convenient travel options. For further details please contact Gary at QED Legal or simply register your interest on line today.
