Commercial Litigator

This is an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Litigator to join an award winning, Legal 500 practice in Birmingham and be instrumental in driving forward their Commercial Litigation Department.

The position will be second to the Head of Department and therefore my client is seeking a competent individual who can work unsupervised alongside them and who they can confidently delegate work to.

The successful applicant will enjoy a varied commercial litigation caseload to include high value, complex commercial disputes, Court injunctions/emergency Court applications, shareholder and/or Directors' disputes, professional negligence, insurance related disputes, partnership disputes, insolvency, regulatory, white collar fraud and alternative dispute resolution, including mediation.

You will be acting on behalf of an enviable client base to include FTSE 100 companies, multinationals, central and local Government and owner managed businesses.

The role is envisaged as suiting a Commercial Litigator who has gained relevant experience with either a national, regional or boutique litigation practice. If you are familiar with the insolvency process, that would be beneficial, and experience of property litigation and/or employment would also be useful, but not essential. You are likely to have at least 3 years' PQE, however applications from more junior candidates who feel they have what it takes to fulfil this position are welcome.

There are definable career progression prospects as the firm is keen to develop their commercial litigation team, with full support and ongoing training provided as required. As well as fee-earning, you will be involved in marketing and the supervision of junior team members.
