COURT OF PROTECTION PRACTITIONER

Looking for Court of Protection Practitioner in Dorset, home based& flexible working hours. Travel Required

My client is one of the Top 100 Law Firms in UK, they are looking for a Court of Protection Practitioner in Dorset.

Your new role

• Provide quality legal services to someone lacks of mental capacity to look after their own financial affairs, assets and properties.
• The role is flexible in terms of hours and working location (home based, or you can work in any of their offices in Hampshire)
• Will manage their own varied caseload which involving all aspects of financial management under professional deputyship and lasting powers of attorneys
• The role is private client-facing, with regular client home visits

What you'll need to succeed

• At least 2 year + experiences of court of protection work is essential flexible from private practice or local authorities
• Have experience of running own caseload of deputyship matters including lower level asset matters where care funding from local authority, NHS or other and benefit income is relevant
• Have experience of drafting, registering and running Lasting Powers of Attorneys
• Have contacts or rapport with fellow professionals, social workers and local authorities in this practice area
• Be willing to travel to attend on clients in and around the South West/South Coast
• Be able to time record and meet financial targets
