We currently have an exciting opportunity for a senior and junior lawyer to join our dynamic and growing Legal Department during a period of transformation within Torbay Council.

We are seeking highly motivated individuals who will contribute to the effective delivery of our property and planning work.

The ideal candidates will have experience in both property and planning law, or experience in one of the two disciplines with a willingness to develop skills in the other discipline. Appropriate training will be provided.

The property work is varied and includes acquisitions, disposals, landlord and tenant and general estates matters.  On the planning side we are looking for someone to assist with drafting of planning and highway agreements, planning enforcement notices and advise at planning committees.

You will demonstrate excellent communication, analytical and drafting skills and be able to manage a full and varied caseload.
