It's an exciting time to be joining Manchester and Salford Legal Services Division, working on innovative projects helping to deliver excellent public services.
This is a rare opportunity to be part of the first ever local government legal service providing first class legal support to two ambitious cities and a diverse range of external bodies. Our vision is to be a legal service that's recognised nationally as best practice in the public sector.
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and hard-working solicitor wishing to use their legal expertise and advocacy experience to work in our busy Housing and Neighbourhood Nuisance legal team.
You will need to be a team player with the ability to conduct proceedings and act as an advocate in the County Court and Magistrates' Court dealing with most aspects of social housing law, including Anti-social Behaviour injunction applications, closure orders, claims for possession, housing disrepair, and general estate management issues.
You will be required to provide high level, high quality legal advice to Council departments and other Registered Providers of Social Housing.
