A leading national top 50 firm with offices throughout the UK have an exciting opportunity for Professional Support Lawyer to join the ranks at the Southampton office.

The private client team are renowned for providing a high quality service with expertise on matters from wills, estate planning and probate, inheritance tax and succession planning to legal advice concerning mental capacity issues, dealing with the Court of Protection and charity law matters. They have proven expertise in protecting assets and safeguarding wealth for high net worth private individuals from salaried professionals and high profile business leaders those with media/entertainment profiles. The team currently boasts over 25 lawyers across a network of UK regional offices.

The role in question is a new proposition for this team and requires a dynamic individual who enjoys a great deal of autonomy. If you enjoy the prospect of truly making a role your own and making an impact at a firm this could be an ideal opportunity. There is a huge amount of variety in this role, with involvement in the creation and maintenance of precedents (principally non-contentious), creating and delivering training sessions, know-how, know-how materials as well as the creation of external articles for the department overall.

To excel in this position you should have in depth knowledge of the private client/ private wealth legal landscape with the ideal candidate already having experience as a professional support lawyer with a minimum requirement of at least having gained training and mentoring experience. You will naturally be an excellent communicator and an engaging individual who is not lacking in enthusiasm and drive. You should be keen to collaborate with a diverse range of individuals and skill sets across the firm in order to be truly effective in your role. There will also be the need to travel on occasions which will also provide the chance to meet individuals in person across the firm as a whole.
