Can you deliver justice?

District Crown Prosecutor

Ref: 19236

CPS North West - Manchester

£55,800 - £66,000 – Salary dependent upon experience

Delivering justice is no easy task and staying objective in the most emotionally charged situations is key. An inspirational manager, you will lead a team of prosecutors, advising on escalated cases and offering expert guidance to secure as many successful prosecutions as possible. The role involves frequent prioritising and making decisions under pressure, so it’s essential you can remain calm, think clearly and multitask. As District Crown Prosecutor, you will also contribute to strategic planning and policy making, provide best practice training for your own team or those outside it and work collaboratively with other parts of the criminal justice system and external organisations to improve conviction rates and public confidence.

The role demands a lawyer with both energy and gravitas. This, coupled with your depth of criminal practice experience, will help you make a distinct impact on the criminal justice system putting the victim at the heart of it. In return, you can expect a competitive package, every opportunity to progress and a number of directions in which to take your career.
