I am currently recruiting for a Technical Litigation Officer/Senior Paralegal to work within Debt Recovery for a leading firm based in Leeds city centre. The job of the Litigation Officer will involve managing a caseload of non-standard secured litigation claims, including deceased matters under limited supervision within a varied client base providing an efficient and effective debt recovery litigation service. The role will involve occasional court appearances.

Duties will involve:

* Communicating with clients, 3rd parties, debtors by phone and writing.
* Negotiate with debtors and 3rd parties to maximise the net recovery level achieved.
* Involvement in client meetings, client billing and reporting, workload allocation and new client take on set up.
* Ensuring SLA's are met and achieved in relation to your caseload.

We are looking for applicants with the following skills and experience:

* Experience in consumer debt collection and debt recovery litigation (including County Court Rules would be advantageous).
* Ability to communicate in both writing and verbally.
* Competent use of MS Word and Excel.
