The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is an armed police service that’s dedicated to the nuclear industry. Our vision is to be recognised as a provider of a world-class service for the protection of nuclear material and facilities. Given the critical nature of our work, it’s vital that we recruit skilled and committed professionals to our high-performing team. As a Trainee Solicitor, you’ll gain a huge variety of experience and create effective legal solutions.
This is a crucial role where you’ll provide a high quality, customer-oriented service across all our functions. To do this, you’ll first undertake training with at least three areas of contentious and non-contentious legal practice. No matter the area you focus on, you’ll offer effective advice, represent the Constabulary in court proceedings and draft legal documentation. Alongside this, you’ll also keep up to date with developments in law and practice, ensuring that our standard of work is always at its best. But you’ll have lots of support along the way, and we’ll make sure that you have everything you need to qualify as a solicitor.
To join, you’ll need a law degree or equivalent qualifications. This’ll be backed up by your completion of a legal practice course and your great legal knowledge. It all means you’ll have a solid understanding of principles, along with excellent communication skills. Plus, with a collaborative ethos, you’ll be determined to find the best solutions possible.
