Multi-branch firm in Nottinghamshire requires a Court of Protection Lawyer on a full-time, permanent basis.

Managing your own caseload involving the full remit of Court of Protection matters, this is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor or legal executive to join a firm renowned for its expertise in mental capacity and welfare issues.

  • Challenging deprivations of liberty authorised under the Mental Capacity Act
  • Working with public bodies such as the NHS and social services
  • Court of Protection disputes
  • Medical treatment and care decisions
  • Challenging the appointment of a deputy under a lasting power of attorney or an enduring power of attorney
  • Care costs contribution or NHS continuing healthcare
The Candidate
  • Solicitor with minimum of 2 years’ PQE in Court of Protection matters
  • Solid expertise in all aspects of mental capacity law is required
  • Taking a proactive approach, you will demonstrate excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Skilled at working well within a team
  • An empathetic approach to the needs of clients, their family members and other concerned parties
