A well regarded insurance practice with offices across the United Kingdom are currently looking to recruit a Legal & Compliance Counsel to work within the Sevenoaks office. You will be joining a large department consisting of a Head of Compliance, Head of Legal, Legal Counsel as well as 3 support staff within the department.

As a Legal & Compliance Counsel, you will be responsible for reporting into the General Counsel and Head of Compliance providing legal and compliance services to Senior Management ensuring the company complies with regulatory and legal requirements. You will be responsible for preparing and negotiating a variety of complex and high value legal agreements and if necessary instruct external counsel.

As a Legal & Compliance counsel you will be responsible for monitoring and identifying changes in the legal and regulatory environments, responsible for providing effective commercial sound advice as well as responsible for building strong relationships with internal and external relationships. You will actively involved in key projects and initiative across the business.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an England & Wales qualified solicitor/lawyer with a minimum of 4 years PQE gained either in house or within private practice. Our client is requiring a candidate who has experience of negotiating, drafting and enforcing commercial contracts and financial services regulation.
