Corporate Immigration Partner

Our client is a growing commercial law firm going through significant expansion. The firm are looking to appoint a full-time immigration lawyer to join their Employment Team to develop and expand its immigration offering.

They are looking for a highly motivated lawyer / Partner who has experience in dealing with all types of immigration matters.

A combination of good academic credentials, sound practical experience and a flair for business development is essential.

The successful candidate will be required to develop the firms immigration offering within our existing client base as well as being required to attract new clients to the firm.

They must have substantial experience of:

•advising under Tiers 1, 2, 4 and 5 of the points based system
•assisting clients in becoming licensed sponsors and maintaining their licensed sponsor status
•advising clients on their responsibilities as licensed sponsors in general including reporting matters via the Sponsor Management System and updating changes to their license
•undertaking immigration due diligence in corporate transactions
•handling right to work checks and preventing illegal working
•undertaking Home Office visits and immigration audits
•dealing with other corporate UK immigration matters.

You will enjoy a high level of client contact and a high quality, mixed caseload which may require you to travel, particularly between Birmingham and Gloucester.
