International firm are seeking to appoint a 2-4 years PQE and 8+ years PQE transactional lawyer to join their pensions team.

As a discipline Pensions is by and large very much the preserve of the bigger firms in London and the major cities, but it enjoys a continuous flow of work, and being non-transactional does allow its lawyers some semblance of work-life control despite being in a larger firm environment. The work is also interesting and varied - a pensions lawyer uses a wide range of legal skills than those from any other practice area. For example, it involves advising on trust law, commercial terms, contract law, trustee governance, investments, corporate law and corporate support work.

You will also get the opportunity to deal with an impressive range of clients from international plcs to regional businesses, and across a range of sectors as the team regularly receive internal referrals from the Banking, Construction, Real Estate and Corporate teams.

To be considered for he role you should be coming from comparable firm in terms of profile and experience dealing with larger corporations. You don't need to be a specialist pensions lawyer to be considered but having some experience of pensions matters would be ideal.
