Conveyancer / Property Team Leader

Moving to a new house is apparently rated as one of the most stressful tasks in someone’s life. So, we need someone who can help to take this stress away from our clients, and also lead others to help their clients’ during this period.  

We're looking to hire a qualified Solicitor / Conveyancer / Legal Exec - basically someone who knows their way around residential property transactions, and who is pro-active, practical and at all times customer focused to join our brand-new Teddington office. It’s going to be likely that you’ll have at least 5 years’ experience and you’ll obviously know your way around registering a title and coal mining searches.

Your Fee Earning duties will include:

• Handling up to 100 files ranging from sale and purchase of properties (Freehold and Leasehold, re-mortgages and transfer of equity’s)
• Dealing with leasehold and freehold transactions from inception to completion
• Maintaining relationships with Estate Agents and Referrers
• Complying with Anti Money Laundering regulations

And as a Team Leader you’ll:

• Support your team with technical queries and help them to achieve and exceed our clients’ expectations
• Be an initial escalation point for any issues in service
• Create and own local business development strategies
• Head up weekly meetings; prepare KPIs, turnaround and fee earner capacity stats
• Run appraisals, recruit new staff, and mentor junior team members

In return for bringing your skills and experience to Simpson Millar we’re offering a salary of up to £45,000, plus bonus and benefits.
