Legal Secretary - Private Client - Southampton - £19,000 - £23,000

A good quality firm with established reach across the Southampton region, providing support to an established fee earner on a 1-2-1 basis. Office location means no need to commute into the City Centre.

An excellent regional firm with heritage spanning the centuries with several offices at locations across Hampshire are seeking to appoint a Legal Secretary to provide key support to the Wills, Trusts & Probate team at the office based just outside of Southampton in in Romsey.

The role would suit an experienced Legal Secretary with expertise already gained within a Private Client legal team and a good understanding of all the terminology and processes in relation to Wills, Trusts, Probate, Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection. You will need to have good competencies in the production of legal documents, making amendments, using software to track changes and also preparing comparison documents. Naturally you will be a well organised individual, managing diaries, arranging meetings, preparing client bills and maintaining good order on client files. The team are looking for someone with a pleasant and approachable nature with good communication skills, including a confident telephone manner and an ability to deal with client enquiries face to face where necessary with a sensitive approach.

Good all round IT skills and a good grasp of Microsoft office packages and legal specific are ideal as well as an ability to demonstrate strong audio and copy typing skills are highly sought after.
