A Head of Legal (Commercial) is required to join a publicly funded organisation on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover a period of absence. Candidates who are seeking locum opportunities; please do feel free to get in touch also.

Our Client is a unique organisation who is looking for someone with ambition and commerciality. You will play a key role in shaping the commercialisation agenda of the organisation with forming strategic development plans to maintain a cost effective legal service. You will be looking at increasing the in-house capacity, ensuring work is kept in-house whilst looking at external revenue streams with the opportunity to develop business with external stakeholders to expand with sharing of services within the region.

You must have exceptional commercial acumen and be able to advise on a range of commercial matters with contracts and property. The focus is commercial contracts and property would be a highlight bonus in terms of experience. You will be part of the Senior Management team which comprises of 4 in total and will report directly to the Director of Legal services.

You will be overseeing a team of commercial contracts and commercial property lawyers with direct report from both Principal Lawyers covering the two disciplines. The team consists of 14 in total and you will be on hand to assist the team with progressing matters and ensuring that they can meet the client needs.
