Permanent – Full time – 37 hours per week

Incommunities is a not-for-profit organisation with the provision of social housing at its heart. We have more than 22,000 properties throughout the Yorkshire region. 

The role of Property Manager is key to the Legal department. Reporting to the Director of Legal and Governance, you will be responsible for the management of the Conveyancing and Home Sales Teams. An experienced lawyer your skills will be used to manage your own caseload and act as the leader of your teams to deliver a full Property service to Incommunities Group. You will provide and manage the conveyancing, development, and property related works, including development of policies & procedures to ensure a comprehensive legal service to Incommunities, its boards, committees and sub-committees and external clients including attending meetings where appropriate.

You will be expected to exercise initiative and professional judgement and promote your department and the Legal and Governance teams work. You will provide specialist legal advice and support in all areas of property and development work including the acquisition and disposal of land and property, Right to Buy Sales, the preparation and approval of leases, building agreements, development agreements, tenancy agreements, Service Level Agreements, commercial and residential leases and licences, wayleave, and  easements. You will also assist in the preparation of Board reports and provide support to the Director of Legal and Governance.

You will be a qualified, experienced solicitor, barrister, licensed Conveyancer FILEX who can demonstrate experience of managing staff. You will have a good working knowledge of property law and procedure, drafting and advising on policies and wider conveyancing matters. You will be able to demonstrate sound judgement when dealing with casework and managing your team.
