Litigation Manager

Permanent – Full time – 37 hours per week

The role of Litigation Manager is key to the Legal department. Reporting to the Director of Legal and Governance, you will be responsible for the management of the Litigation Team. An experienced lawyer and advocate, your skills will be used to manage your own caseload and act as the primary advocate on your team’s cases, delivering a full litigation service to Incommunities Group. This litigation will involve housing matters such as anti-social behaviour injunctions, possessions, and disrepair. You will also act on other dispute resolution and litigation matters, which can be many and varied. You will manage a team of capable and experienced lawyers and lead on Service Level Agreements, the CCTV team, assist in the preparation of Board reports and provide support to the Data Protection Officer in responding to GDPR enquiries.

You will be a qualified, experienced solicitor, barrister or legal executive (with extended rights of audience) who can demonstrate experience of managing staff. You will have a good working knowledge of housing law and procedure, drafting and advising on policies and wider civil litigation as well as GDPR. You will be able to demonstrate sound judgement when dealing with casework and managing your team.

Salary starting at £44,615 rising to £48,972 through annual increments
