Deputy Director, Legal & Governance
Salary up to £110,709. East London

oneSource legal services is one of the most successful shared services in the country established in 2014 and going strong with over 70 fee earners.

Legal & Governance includes legal, democratic and electoral services and is a wholly integrated in house service based in Newham Dockside, providing a comprehensive legal service to both authorities.

In this role, you will be:

• The Monitoring Officer in Havering, working daily with the Chief Executive, senior officers and members who will rely on you for accurate legal advice, pragmatism and excellent judgement.
• Managing and improving our excellent legal service across two boroughs and beyond
• Deputy returning officer at elections in Havering.

Having excellent, solution focussed legal and governance skills is essential but that is just the starting point. You will be able to lead and take forward one of the largest legal teams in London delivering high quality and value for money across two Councils with their own challenges and priorities.
