This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified solicitor or barrister to join our busy and friendly team of legal professionals.
This role will supervise a team of legal experts who provide advice in at least two of the following areas of law: Litigation (prosecutions and civil litigation); environmental health/public protection; Licensing; Planning; Education; Employment or Children or Adult Safeguarding. As an integral part of a professional legal team delivering legal advice and support to all aspects of the Council’s services, you will be a positive and highly motivated person who is confident, versatile and innovative.
You will hold or be working towards an appropriate management qualification and be a strong communicator with excellent analytical and drafting skills. You will be skilled and experienced in interpreting information and communicating this to nonlawyers and make recommendations on how best to achieve the desired outcome. An ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities is essential.
