Head of Family and Solicitor

We have a fantastic opportunity at a well-established Swansea firm, who is seeking to recruit an experienced Senior family law solicitor / Head of Department to handle a varied and existing family caseload of Public and private funded work from across the region . The firm provide a full coverage Family law service at a Public and private level and need a senior Family lawyer with broad experience in the area to further develop the case load and head the family department .

Responsibilities:

Undertaking all aspects of Leadership and day to day management for a  small team of Fee earners you are responsible for mentoring, supporting and developing them to deliver exceptional client care and quality legal work, as well as running your own successful caseload.

You will ensure that both you and your team are compliant with Company Polices as well as exceed the requirements of external regulators including the SRA and LAA.

The role would suit an experienced Senior Family solicitor or someone looking for the next progression. You will be expected to get involved with all areas that make a successful team i.e. business development, supervision, training, etc.

The person

The successful candidate must have excellent technical ability and experience of handling a broad range of work, realistically having a minimum of 5 years’ PQE, managing a full caseload from start to finish.

A qualified and experienced Solicitor (Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive)

Have previous Supervisory experience

Familiarity with the online legal aid scheme (CCMS)

Have excellent communication skills and be enthusiastic, organised and determined in order to help the department continue to service its clients in a highly professional manner
