In this role, you will have opportunity to act for a diverse client base including some PLCs, UK subsidiaries, large private limited companies, SMEs, OMBs, entrepreneurs and partnerships. This immediate requirement is for someone who has sufficient experience to manage corporate transactions and supervise, but also equally happy to work as part of a team on larger deals. Whilst the nature of the role requires not less than 10 yrs' specialist PQE, we would also be delighted to hear from more senior lawyers. This opportunity does require someone with an immediate following but what is essential is the commercial mindset and gravitas to be able to nurture clients and contacts. Application at lateral hire level with a following will of course always be welcomed and considered.
Typical instructions include:
• Mergers, acquisitions and disposals
• MBOs and MBIs
• Group, Company and Share re-structuring
• AIM listings
• Partnership and shareholder agreements including bespoke requirements
• Company formation
• Company Secretarial/Companies House compliance
• Banking and Finance advice
Whilst the emphasis of this role is corporate transactional, the team is an integrated company and commercial team so previous experience and a willingness to cover a range of non-contentious, commercial instructions is important. Niche and specialist work types such as IP and IT will be absorbed by other specialists within the department.
