Locum Adult Social Care Paralegal

Locum Adult Social Care Paralegal – up to £18 per hour – Leicestershire – Remote Working

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are delighted to be recruiting for an Adult Social Care Paralegal to join a dynamic Public Sector Organisation in the Leicestershire.

This contract is offered for an initial period of 3 months and will operate on a remote working basis for the foreseeable future. Please note there may be an expectation for some office based working at some point in the future in line with guidance.

The ideal candidate will have worked in a legal office handling public law matters relating to Adult Social Care. Experience in Public Sector organisations is desirable but not essential.

 Duties may include:

• Dealing with a Court of Protection caseload, including advice on Mental Capacity Act 2005

• Providing advice under Mental Health Act 1983

• Providing advice on application of the inherent jurisdiction

• Drafting statements, applications and orders

• Advising on all aspects of community care under both the Care Act 2014 and National Assistance Act 1984

• Preparing document bundles and evidence for Solicitors in preparation for Court
