A UK Top 50 law firm, are looking for an accomplished Solicitor who is looking to take the next step in their career as a Legal Director. You would work remotely, as part of a national and market leading Financial Disputes team, and would work in the state-of-the-art Bristol office approx. one day a week. This role is suited to a commercially focused Senior Associate, who is looking to work closely with high value clients, and be a respected leader in a Chambers UK top tier team.

This is what you’ll be doing

  • Actively engage in business development, with a passion to become a “go-to” Solicitor in the financial services sector
  • Manage your own caseload of high value and complex banking and finance litigation matters (including fraud and international disputes) for banks, building societies and niche lenders
  • Deliver excellent service to your key clients, and provide sound commercial advice across a range of high value disputes, including defending reputationally sensitive claims
  • Develop and motivate more junior members of the team, and supervise a group Solicitors and Legal Assistants to ensure they hit their targets
  • Consistently deliver profitable results for both the firm and your clients

The experience you’ll bring to the team

  • Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 6 years PQE
  • Experience working on commercial litigation matters, ideally within the financial services sector
  • Experience working within a commercial Top 100 firm
  • Supervisory and managerial experience is essential
  • Motivated to develop excellent client relationships, with a keen enthusiasm to implement business development initiatives
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • A desire to not only develop your own career, but to also assist more junior members in the team to reach their full potential
