This leading professional regulatory team is ranked in the top-tier by the legal directories and is one of the largest in the country, acting for a significant amount of regulatory bodies, primarily in the health sector but, increasingly, more widely. The team in Leeds is undergoing specific expansion due to new contracts and instructions and is therefore looking for experienced Barristers to join them. The work requires managing an investigatory caseload where it is alleged that the registrant's fitness to practise is impaired through misconduct, competence or health issues and preparing those cases for hearings before panels and committees of the relevant regulators. The successful Regulatory Barrister will have significant experience in professional discipline matters. You will be involved in cases from the outset and will therefore be able to demonstrate some experience working in a healthcare regulatory / professional discipline arena. You should be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding and a passion for this growing area of law. The firm keen to consider Barristers working in practice, chambers and in-house regulatory bodies.
