We are working with a global business to expand its in house legal function in the UK. The company operates in offshore industries - offering marine construction, inspection and maintenance services.
You will work broadly across all departments, assisting in legal and contractual matters - including drafting and negotiation of procurement contracts. A sound ability to recognise contractual risk and advise in terms of mitigation is essential.
The position will suit a Legal Counsel with significant commercial contracts experience - exposure to disputes and experience handling them would also be beneficial. A background in construction and/or engineering will be very highly regarded, as will exposure to the marine and/or energy industries - although not absolutely essential.
This role is being recruited on a temporary basis, up to a term of around 12 months. Our client is based in the North East of England although it is likely you will work remotely in the first instance.
This is a really exciting role, operating within a complex and interesting industry. The ideal candidate is likely to have a minimum of around 5 years PQE but candidates who fall outside of this and meet the requirements of the role are still encouraged to apply.
Please get in touch with Sophie Linley or Rachael Mann at Sacco Mann for full details - a position description is available on request.
