Your new company
A north London Local Authority are seeking an experienced Adult Social Care Lawyer to join their busy team for a minimum of six months.

Your new role
As an Adult Social Care Lawyer, you will be responsible for managing a case load relating to the care and support for, and the safeguarding of, vulnerable adults in the Court of Protection. In addition, defending judicial review claims against the Council relating to service provision decisions for both children and adults in the High Court. Some of these cases can pose a risk of publicity to the council. You will also undertake work for the CCG.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for the role, you should be a qualified Solicitor/Barrister with a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role and ideally from a similar, public sector organisation. You should have experience of managing a variety of cases relating to Adult Social Care including safeguarding, Court of Protection and providing advise to vulnerable adults. Experience of managing your own advocacy before the Court of Protection is highly desirable. Finally you should have excellent time management and be able to prioritise your work load, as well as confidence to take instruction. This roles requires someone to start at the end of October.

What you'll get in return

You will receive a competitive hourly rate up to £40 per hour (depending on experience) and will be working in a large, experienced Social Care Legal team. The role allows full remote working for the length of the contract with occasional travel to the office and courts. Finally this role also has the potential to extend beyond the initial six months.
