The Role

The firm are looking for a proficient Corporate Partner to join their busy city centre department in Leeds, covering a multitude of corporate work.

You will work closely with the other Partners within the corporate department, and more generally across the firm, to drive the business forwards. You will work as part of a driven and commercially successful leadership team. The team currently stands at 17, and you will be working with industry leaders around you.

The team has been recognised in the Legal 500 for the high-quality service they provide.

You will deal with a broad client base covering many industry sectors, the sheer level of variety will make for an interesting caseload including charities, education, energy and renewables, retail and transport.

Your caseload will involve acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, reconstructions, demergers and equity and debt refinancing.

This role comes with strong prospects to progress, in line with the growth agenda. The firm is succession planning are keen to find the next generation of senior Lawyers.

Requirements

  • You will be a Corporate Lawyer with at least 8 years PQE (there is no upper limit regarding the amount of PQE)
  • A transferable client base or regional contacts is highly advantageous
  • You will have a strong technical knowledge and first-class communication skills
  • You will have strong business development capabilities
  • Experience of overseeing a team is desirable, however not essential

Remuneration

  • Salary is competitive and negotiable depending on your level of experience, on offer is an excellent benefits package and very lucrative bonus scheme
