The role:

WBW Solicitors has a rare opportunity for an experienced solicitor to join our family team based in Launceston. We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced person to join our busy family department to provide exceptional client care, to work as part of a team and to provide advice on a wide range of family law matters to include: divorce, civil partnership, separation, cohabitee issues, family finance and children matters. A knowledge of the legal aid system would also be desirable.

Experience:

The successful candidate will need to be able to manage large workloads effectively and be productive under pressure. You should be well experienced in family matters providing legal support across a range of family law matters, be personable, articulate and enjoy working both in an individual role and as an integral part of the team. Previous experience with case management systems would be an advantage. Excellent knowledge and evidence of understanding family law will be crucial at interview stages.

Quality:

To make sure that quality standards are understood and adhered to at all times.  To promote a high quality of service and to maintain file administration, carry out reviews as directed and comply with the firm’s quality standards policies and procedures outlined in the firm’s Practice Manual.  To adhere to the firm’s Equality and Diversity Policy at all times.

Profitability:

To achieve any billing, time and fee earning targets set; to co-operate with the firm’s credit control arrangements; to manage time effectively and ensure billing is carried out regularly.  Ensure recommendations and cross-referrals occur to other departments and personnel within the firm.

The Candidate

You will need to be and enthusiastic and driven candidate; self-motivation will be an important part of succeeding in this role. Your team will provide you with support and the Launceston office team are welcoming a friendly.

You will need to be able to work within the firms policies for risk management, supervision requirements and be able to contribute to the teams and firms values.
