Probate Solicitor

PROBATE SOLICITOR (CONTENTIOUS) – 2+ PQE – BEDFORDSHIRE – JOB REF:1694

The appointed solicitor will be reporting to the Supervising Partner and will be a key hire into this thriving team. You will be handling an interesting and varied caseload of contested probate cases, including Court of Protection, Trustee Orders, Interim Orders and Statutory Will applications. You will also handle some ongoing finance administration cases as required. Ideally you will have a minimum of 2 years PQE gained in a contentious probate post, or perhaps within a mixed private client role or litigation role where contentious probate work has made up a substantial portion of your workload. You will have good client care skills, provide professional and competent legal advice in accordance with SRA Code of conduct and display strong IT skills. Effective business development skills with proven marketing strategies and up-to-date knowledge and skills are essential requirements for this post. The successful candidate will also have the capability to generate fees in accordance with agreed targets, proven experience of handling own caseload, the ability to adhere to and manage deadlines, good drafting and writing skills, excellent communication and technical ability. Excellent salary, up to c£45,000 (DOE).
