Commercial Litigation Solicitor (NQ 2 PQE)

A Legal 500 firm based in Southampton are seeking a capable Solicitor with up to two years of post-qualification experience who wants to develop their career as a litigator within their Commercial Litigation team.

As a Solicitor in the litigation team you will enjoy access to a wide variety of complex commercial and corporate disputes. You will be working on a stimulating caseload, working in sectors facing continued regulatory change and other challenges. The range and quality of my clients caseload makes it an exceptional base to develop your career in litigation.

The team's expertise includes working with clients ranging from FTSE 100 companies to small owner-managed businesses. Their diverse client base covers IT, engineering, retail and manufacturing.

Beyond your caseload, you will be expected you to get involved in a range of business development activities and play a full part as a member of a supportive team.

Experience required:

- You will be someone with a genuine passion for contentious work. You will be able to display initiative, pragmatism, common sense and excellent client skills. We will provide you with the support to develop your career and reputation in commercial litigation.
- You will ideally be 0-2 years PQE and have experience working within a successful litigation team - will also consider those with a similar level qualification e.g. CILEx with experience in litigation field.
- This role is intellectually demanding, so will look for a strong level of academic achievement as well as strong practical skills and commercial awareness.
- You will be able to translate complex and technical information and problems into clear and simple advice and actions.
- You will need to have an enthusiasm and aptitude for business development to assist the growth in the team.
